BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY
Light is an essential component of evolution and is perceived as a certainty in our daily life, serving our orientation, improving work standards and increasing our wellbeing.
Because of this it is of growing importance to sensitively utilise daylight and artificial light, thus improving the architectural space and its light quality.
On the other hand light increases energy consumption, resulting in the exploitation of natural resources and pollution of the environment. To counteract climate change and to reduce worldwide greenhouse gas emissions by 2012, the international community reacted by signing the 1997 Kyoto protocol.
In accordance with the guidelines of the Kyoto protocol the European Union now enforces a certificate of energy performance calculating and displaying the total energy consumption of each approved building.
In addition to heating, climate control, air conditioning and water treatment, lighting is one component of the total energy consumption of a building and a noticeable reduction in costs can be achieved through the intelligent synergy of daylight, artificial light and daylight control systems.
With this knowledge we aim to develop lighting solutions that fuse light quality and economical and ecological aspects of energy efficiency.
